Someone has news about it? Yoshida should be there these days (July 26-29), but dunno if there are journalists or ff14 site owners there to make some reports.
Hoping some new 2.0 stuff from there.![]()

China is not exactly an ultra-open country, but we can still hope so.![]()
FFXIV - Actu / Let's Play: www.emulord.com
(Micha'el Mulord, serveur Ragnarok)
With the trailer coming out just yesterday I doubt we'll see anything new until next week.
New interview there!

A: I expect the first Closed Beta for the Japan and International servers to be held end September or early October, entering Closed Beta 2 this winter and Open Beta in January next year. We will be talking to Shanda Games about the China server, with features such as PvP, blocking 3rd party programs and localization, hence the Chian server will launch later.
Regional servers confirmed.

I don't think he appreciates just how much GW2, ArcheAge and Blade and Soul actually define people's expectations, rather than WoW. FFXIV has a lot going for it too, but that's such an arrogant approach to have. Kind of a high opinion of himself.Final Fantasy XIV has a more unique game history and culture, which is a big factor *refers to Final Fantasy 8, Faye Wong singing “Eyes on Me”*. Korean MMORPGs focus too much on the game itself, but not about the real life culture surrounding it.
And saying "it's a secret" when they ask what's new and innovative about FFXIV doesn't help much. Might as well be Tanaka at this point.

*Gulp* Looks like we're definitely not going to get 2.0 this year =/
So from October~Early January theres no FFXIV? Thats a long time o.o :/... Well its the price we pay for a better FFXIV I suppose =).
Subjective, since it was technically supposed to launch in Dec/Jan of 2013, but now we hear it's another beta, so unless PC version us launching then and that beta is PS3, good chance nothing till at least March (since we know there will no doubt be an additional delay after beta.) Also by then XI's new expansion is likely coming out, so..good chance it's going to be a hectic early 2013.
