Change to Glam system

I believe it would significantly improve server performance and be a massive quality-of-life (QoL) enhancement to the Glam system if it were more similar to WoW's transmog system.

1: Once a character picks up an item and can equip it, it unlocks that appearance in the transmogrify system. In the case of Final Fantasy, it would unlock it in the Glamour Dresser to be applied later.

2: For non-job-specific gear, such as Warrior Job gear or "Relic" gear, introduce an item in the game that allows players to declassify a chosen piece to level 1, making it equippable by any character. This would enable players to mix and match various in-game glamour items.

There's no need to retroactively register items players have picked up in the past. The community would likely be fine with either removing items from their Glamour Dresser so it registers picked up for the first time again or farming them again. This change could greatly enhance a part of the game that many players love: making their characters look good.

I don't think you'd have to go back and proactivlly register peoples items they've picked up in the past. I think the community would be ok with having to either take the items they have out their glam dresser or go farm it again. This could be a massive QoL change to a portion of the game that so many people love. Making their characters look good.

That mean they have to remove the glamour system.
It'll take too much effort to remove it and add another one. (changing the code of it).
It looks like that the team doesn't want to change things. They're just following the old patch notes to add content.


And personally, I prefer the Guild Wars 2 one (for colors and stuff).

At the 2.0 a similar post was made, with over 2500 Likes. Nothing was made.

Don't expect any change about it.

They almost had a full glamour book ready to go but they couldn't implement it due to *gestures to some server or something* limitations.
