RMT spammers gone?

I hung around in Limsa for a while to try out the new mute filter on some of them. I figured they'd be very active due to the large numbers of potential customers, but it's pleasantly spam free.
Did SE finally come up with a way to squash them?

Yeah, the servers are all congested. They can't make new ones or travel.

they're still there, give a few weeks they will be back. you can see them on dynamis

Congestion aside, they probably also need a bit to update their bots

The bots probably needs some tweaking before they're back in full force again.

Congestion is the most likely culprit.

They can't replace the bots that get routinely banned in waves.
And, they can't world visit to the Congested servers to spam there.



It's one of the reasons I preferred to be on Balmung back in the day, before RMT was taken seriously and dealt with.
The server being constantly too full for them to make spam bots made it so tells were actually a useable feature on the server.

On EU-Shiva they are very active. But it is interesting expensive Gil have become. 100.000 Gil cost 15 EUR. And 100.000 Gil are nothing.
