I hate this graphics update and what they did to female Highlander face 1, it's incredibly frustrating after having played this same character for 10 years that they just decided to ruin a lot of the things I liked most about her when no one asked for this. The eyeshadow is so faded now for some reason and the eyeliner is noticeably weaker making my character's eyes look completely different, she looks constantly fatigued. Her eyebrow colors look washed out for some reason. They've done something to her lips that make it look like she got botox. Overall she use to have a more charming rugged look and now it's like they smoothed out all the angles from her face. In 10 years I only ever used a Fantasia to change my eye color and since this "upgrade" I've now used 2 Fantasia and I'm still not really happy with how my Highlander is.

I’m the person who made the character shown in this comparison image, so I’d like to add my thoughts.

I never really thought the update made my character look older, though if other face 4 users feel like this, I think I can see why. The corners of the new mouth do create an effect that could be interpreted as smile lines.

What I personally take issue with is the feminized look of the new face. The nose looks smaller, the lips look doll-like, the eyelashes look bigger, and so on. This character’s appearance is now more in line with generic anime girl beauty standards (or, as one might say, “better”), but this is the opposite of what I intended for this character’s design. Beyond my own character, I think the changes to face 4 have reduced the variety of potential female miqo’te faces in an unfortunate way, since face 4 now looks more like the other three faces.
