My characters are looking great and I play multiple races and so are the graphics in game overall. Sorry you don't feel that way.

God no.
I love how my characters look now. Literally in Endwalker moderately brown Hyur was vanishing in cutscenes. I couldn't see him in a lot of the final zone during the climax and it was super frustrating.
Now he looks great! All of my characters (most of which are brown do). Even my paler characters have nicer undertones and color variation- and that's not even talking how much better I find the skin textures.
I understand not everyone is happy with the changes but I personally love how my boys look and have no interest in going back.
I like some of the models, but not all of them. I miss the old look of my Face 2 Xaela.

I respectfully disagree. The new models are a massive improvement, and the game would be worse if they were reverted.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.

it's not so much new models, but new lighting
in most minute cases at least
Noone ever asked to get their characters ruined like this, noone voted for this. In less than 48 hours from the definitive gem and most precious and unique looking game to a new graphics lifeless and boring experience where you can't recognize your char anymore, char that some people's been with 10+ years and now it's just a joke.

I'll be honest here: as someone who has been through this in World of Warcraft (I was ridiculously attached to my Draenei).... this level of attachment to a temporary video game character is unhealthy.Noone ever asked to get their characters ruined like this, noone voted for this. The models most certainly did not change "beyond recognition". Yes, there are subtle changes (to my Keeper as well) but they are not night/day differences.

It's not unhealthy, if you don't understand about it better not comment on attachment or go talk with a psychologist to understand why it's not bad.I'll be honest here: as someone who has been through this in World of Warcraft (I was ridiculously attached to my Draenei).... this level of attachment to a temporary video game character is unhealthy.

And yes, they have changed beyond recognition, from having opened eyes and clear iris with the little shine to have the eyelids closed over the eye, obscuring the iris color and devoided of shine, these eyes are now expressionless and makes the character look angry/ dead, and etc. Some eyebrows are now thinner than before for NO reason. Lips gloss are now in all the models no matter if you tick a lipstick color or not. Etc. It's not an improvement, in many faces they are ruined.

If such a small face change has people up in arms and sobbing all night (in another thread a poster literally claimed that), what will happen when the servers eventually go down?!
Or what do you say to your partner in life if he/she changes her make-up, hairstyle .. or heaven forbid: grows old and wrinkly.
"Sorry honey, your face has changed beyond recognition!" ...
It IS unhealthy, every psychologist will confirm this to you.
Yeah I'm not too thrilled with the shiny lips and the Cataract eyes myself. I deliberately picked "no lipstick" when I created my kitten and always loved her big, bottomless pupils.
But it's not the end of the world. Realistically, human lips do have a little shine to them. Certainly not "changed beyond recognition" WTF.
