Baneful Impaction being decoupled from Chain Stratagem and shortened to 1 min would be somewhat of an improvement.

Yes this. They could even make it so that Chain "buffs" Baneful if they want to keep the association between them that badly. Like making Baneful "deploy" Chain if you use it as a combo action after Chain, and/or have higher potency if used after. I'm just spouting random ideas here.
