Severe performance issues since 7.0 launch

I have been having severe frame rate issues since Dawntrail early access started. Especially in Tuliyollal (among other places) my frame rate has ranged from 215 fps all the way down to the 30s on the Maximum graphics preset. I'm running a Ryzen 5 5600x CPU and an RTX 3070 GPU, 16GB RAM, on Windows 10. The updated 1.1 version of the benchmark gave me an "Extremely High" score (19061) with these exact same settings, indicating I should have no problems running the game at all. So is there an optimization issue with the game itself? I have never had this problem with FFXIV for 11 years, despite congestion at the beginning of any previous expansion.

I was hoping the issues might be resolved after these recent emergency maintenance periods, but they seem to have only gotten worse. I realize that system requirements have changed, but my system is well above the recommended requirements and I'm still having problems. Why is this game running worse than Red Dead Redemption 2 on my PC? Honestly, it makes me not even want to play at all

I had the exact same issue, what I did was verify the files via the launcher cog icon. It took forever to verify, but it seemed to work and now I'm back up to my normal framerate!

I assume it's just a random issue that happens when the patch dropped! Hope it works for you too!!!

Apologies for the late reply, I had to wait for a day when I could have time to try this. Unfortunately this did not resolve the problem or change anything at all, for that matter.

Something they've changed with Dawntrail is broken, I just don't know what it is. A PC like mine should not be chugging like it is on this game, of all things. I don't know how to bring it to their attention, if that's even possible.
