Sorry, I meant to specify for their offline games - FFXI and XIV have phenomenal writing. 13 and 13-2 were cringe-worthy.I disagreed. I think the gameplay and story writing are not bad. I'm sure they tried a turn based game before they decided to go with the ff13 battle system during their internal tests. The story writing, it was purely decicions due to the technological advancements. They decided to go with the future route instead of revisiting the medieval era, which they will revisit again, I'm sure
Is it just me or does he look like Jeremy Renner?
I think its because he's supposed to be the most universally appealing (EI generic) character they could make. An 'everyman'. Therefore he needed to be something more 'mainstream' like WAR, as apposed to BRD.
Armoury system?Because it would be a bad marketing choice to have a "bard" as the "hero" in the trailers. The trailers display the respective job gear and I honestly think they decided to have something more mainstream and standard for the public gaming audience. Then again does not explain why the MRD turned into PLD...
When was SE's CGI in question???? I don't think improved CGI is what XIV is missing.
I will say that it is better, just saying.
am I the only one that notices that his chin is different? lol

Looks amazing, however I hope 2.0's game-play reflects the updated CGI. I never wanna see horrible game-play in such a beautiful game again.
New to FFXIV, Looking for a good LS to run with!
