Question for my RDM brothers & sisters: PREFULGENCE

To my RDM brother & sisters, as a RDM main, I’m asking how are you implementing Prefulgence into your single target rotation when it is tied with Manification?

I hate that the fact that they changed manification to enhance Molinet instead of the granting 50 black/white mana.

My single rotation when my balance had 50 plus black/white mana was: melee combo->engagement->displacement->verFlare or verHoly->Scorch->Resolution->Fleche-Reprise. I was hoping that Prefulgence would follow after Resolution.

Since I don’t use Manification in my single rotation, I don’t get to proc Prefulgence. Sometimes in my AOEs when I use Manification & then do the enhanced Molinet combo->flare or holy->scorch->resolution->contre sixte, I don’t proc Prefulgence, unless I’m doing it wrong.

    What do you do?

Manafication just makes your melee combo free now instead of generating mana. You still use it in single target.

The change to moulinet was that they made it a single button 1-2-3 combo so it would only cost 50 mana instead of 60.

Manafication doesn't enhance Moulinet inherently. The Moulinet changes (making the 3 hits go from 60/60 to 50/50) RDM got this expac are completely independent of the changes to manafication. What manafication does now is give you 3 stacks of Magicked Swordplay, which allows you to use 3 Enchanted melee actions without paying their Mana costs. Those 3 stacks can be used on 3 moulinets or the 3 hits of your single target combo.

The reason why you're not getting the prefulgence proc is probably because you do your combo too slowly. You get the prefulgence buff if you use all 6 Manafication stacks before their timer of 15s runs out, But if you let those stacks time out, you don't get the prefulgence buff.

thanks for the explanation. So I have to use all 6 stacks of manafication in 15 seconds to use prefulgence...yeesh! I wish it would proc after using resolution. Would have been an easy flow.

Close, u have to spend the 3 stacks of sword play to get prefulgence, not the 6 stacks of manification.

You can look up the tooltip, it explicitly states "Grants Prefulgence Ready upon consuming 6 stacks of Manafication"

Yes. Though based on the recent upcoming balance changes post, they'll increase the duration of Manafication stacks.
