Is there any chance at all of our companions being in 2.0? I really doubt it, which sucks.
I also wonder about stuff like the storyline for the Archer quests being inconclusive.

There will be more job quests when the level cap goes up so no worries about that.

So you didn't like what you got, but you're also complaining others will take a peek at it.

Yeah, because there was no experience to miss. And the only unique part of the story is the same part that other people are going to get to see as well even though they didn't stick around the entire time.

From the first mention of Dalamud from a farmer in Wineport to the final showdown with Legatus Nael van Darnus nothing impressed you? You didn't feel there was any experience in there? We investigated the first rumors of Garlemald's return to war, we got to fight off waves of the Garlean army as they advanced through certain zones, we got to fight the Primals (essentially gods) firsthand and defeat them for a story purpose, we brought the Grand Companies together, we destroyed the lunar transmitter in an attempt to halt Dalamud's advance. These are things that newer players will only get to hear about or see in a Youtube video.

It's too late to quell the masses now, the fire storm has begun. Strong counter opinions come with the territory. THIS IS SPART--- erh, Lodestone Forums.

"Eristic, from the ancient Greek word Eris meaning wrangle or strife, often refers to a type of argument where the participants fight and quarrel without any reasonable goal.
Eristic is arguing for the sake of conflict as opposed to the seeking of conflict resolution." wiki wiki wa waaa
So, please suggest a way to resolve the situation or stop moaning, as it helps no-one, especially the devs trying their best to keep the wheels on whilst they rebuild the realm.
Edit: I'm at work and being an arse for the sake of it as I'm bored, so I'm just as bad. But hey, seriously dude, it doesn't matter and most people seem to like the trailer.
You can't do a single thing about it now anyway. May as well crack on eh?

Door is that-a-way!
No, seriously, chill out man. For a skeleton crew, the storyline we got was pretty darn great, and it kept ramping up, especially towards the end.
The trailer/cinima? Whatever, a player leaping into the game needed context - that gave it to them.
Liking/not liking the content is a matter of personal taste, if it's not to yours, perhaps a Final Fantasy game isn't what you're looking for. But IMO this plot was pretty much spot on with the classics, and I'm looking forward to A Realm Reborn.

I have a lot of time for our little red wizard and enjoy his posts but sorry Jinrya I don't agree with you this time. I don't think the trailer really gave anything important away. The reward for playing the seventh umbral era content is getting to play the seventh umbral era content. SE could release a stage musical of it and it wouldn't reduce my enjoyment of playing the content one bit.

*dream bubbles*
I donno... it might be a tad bit accurate for some.
