OP was probably one of the people that never actually read any of the text, and just plowed through the steps and got the gist of it.

I didn't skip anything.

I don't see the story you all seem to be seeing. It was way to similar to CoP in terms of running around to find out bare minimal information. It wasn't immersive enough for me.

I can't explain it better. Some of you though, jeez I think you need to relax. This is just my opinion.

I did not grow to love any of the characters in the story-line. They told us how we are going to survive, by a person I could care less about. So for the last part of the event has to be absolutely phenomenal for it to make up for the entire rest of the story.

It's like playing XIII again, everyone saying that chapter 12 is where the game gets it's best, and in actuality it was the same as the rest of the game, uninteresting characters in an uninteresting storyline.

We get to live the empire attack they get to see a video showing small part of it. We get to see Dalamud growing each patch from the first day it turn red and we asking wtf is going on? too the last fight. If you mad becuase they show information that new players need to know get use to it they need to know we get to live it they just get information...

top of that you can see every CS on youtube at the end they only see a video we fight and live the story.

Nobody said we were the only ones who knew what was happening. That would be ridiculous. Did you think 2.0 was going to be completely out of context? Like 1.0 was on release? Nobody knew what was actually happening in the story? Fine way to fail at release again.

i understand your plight op, but i agree with suzaku on this one. did you honestly expect them to advertise a product completely out of context. they tried to be as vague as possible (i mean come on, it's pretty vague) how else were they supposed to market it on such a short schedule.

Must suck for you every time a movie trailer comes out. Spoiling every full-length movie in a span of 1-2 mins has to be a real downer.

Chill out. If you haven't played the game before this trailer would hardly make any sense. And if you had played very little it is a nice refresher on the situation and helps people not be even more disoriented if they start playing again.
