that was the easiest one imo. try it on WHM. unless you're just wanting it to be tougher than it has to be.

regen the NPC, and aoe the wolves. there's no rush killing the main target either. the NPC's dmg + your aoe and occasional nukes are plenty. just manage your MP well.

Thanks Gilt, I just came on to post this! Doing it WHM is easy as!
I got #1 the first time around, #2 I'm at 0/4 #3 I'm 0/3 (; and I'm yet to attempt #4, but I got it from leve evaluation, which was nice!

Does anyone have a good speed run strat for the 3rd faction leve? I can complete it easily, but it takes me a while, and I end up not getting a gold chest.

Does anyone have a good speed run strat for the 3rd faction leve? I can complete it easily, but it takes me a while, and I end up not getting a gold chest.

I did it very quickly on my Dragoon. Started wailing on the enemy, once mobs showed up I went full power with Leg Sweep combo x2 in the first wave, second wave (by then I had already used one Chaos Thrust) I used a Blindside/Blood For Blood Comboed Ring of Talons followed with Leg Sweep. I got a third wave but it was faster to finish the Maskmaker with a Chaos Thrust by then.

Edit: Right, I did get the piece on my first try, too.

Every time I got a drop, it came out of a gold chest. And every time I got a gold chest, I finished the leve rather quickly. I'm not completely sure if all of these things are connected, but it seems to look that way.

I'm beginning to wonder if Gold chest only show sup the first time thru. as far as speed run goes. go whm + clric, nuke it to death. shouldbe able to finish it before the second set of wolves without too much problem, easily before 3rd set. if that effects the chest drops...I have no idea. so far I'm 1/4 on 3rd leve (forgot to open chest on second run like a nurbling)

P.s. - my first run (the i got the drop on), I let the NPC kill the mob. the only dmg i did to it was form aoe's. I'll try that again later
