Coloseum Gears/ Faction Information

I tried a test on the chest today for leve #2, 3 runs with time 2:00m left = black chest still. My thoughts were that the only possible thing that could matter besides time is if you get aggro/get hit or not... so next run I walked someone past the ghosts in front of the first tunnel, walked through the jelly/ghost in the left tunnel and then used hallowed and ran through the rest for them, first gold chest that day.

Bit disturbing if two people are needed (one to distract the monsters, and the other to get through without being hit) for a leve that says you are supposed to do it on your own.

I agree obviously, considering you can't just walk through all the mobs. It's only a guess at the moment, but it worked on 2 occasions. We tried time originally using the straight tunnel path since it's faster, when the person I escorted got hit by a jelly only once they got a blue(silver?) chest instead of gold/black. I can say with a pretty high degree of certainty that none of these work on time though, they all seem to work on special conditions for the chest's quality.

The good news is, if you bring a pld friend and you take it slow and walk up till the last crab/jelly spot and hallowed/choco through no one will never die.

I'd love to hear if this works for other people as well.

Tried #2 and got 2/2 silvers again using this method... I was told 0:40 was the time we got for a gold chest :x

The gold chest must be random, because for #1 and #4 people in the same pt can have different drop.

I'm beginning to wonder if Gold chest only show sup the first time thru. as far as speed run goes. go whm + clric, nuke it to death. shouldbe able to finish it before the second set of wolves without too much problem, easily before 3rd set. if that effects the chest drops...I have no idea. so far I'm 1/4 on 3rd leve (forgot to open chest on second run like a nurbling)

P.s. - my first run (the i got the drop on), I let the NPC kill the mob. the only dmg i did to it was form aoe's. I'll try that again later

The gold chests don't show your first time guaranteed. I've done three of them so far and only one dropped the Coliseum gear for me. I got the Coliseum Galerus from the third leve, the solo battle one. I didn't finish it particularly quickly but I managed to get it. I think it may be completely luck based just like the old faction NM drop chests.

Has anyone had any issues with picking up the 3rd faction quest, "Wanted: the Maskmaker"? Both my wife and I completed the first 2, but the 3rd isn't showing up.

I presume that we may need to redo the first two, but I don't want to waste the faction points if we can avoid it.

Sorry for the necro, but this is an awesome thread for the Colliseum equips, and I wonder, if there anything that affects chest in #3?
