Trust me I want to know more too but I assume they want to hide whatever publicly available metrics they look at to try and prevent manipulation.

They can prevent "manipulation" by looking at the feedback critically (in this case the biggest criticism to negative feedback about viper gameplay would be "it's too early, they havent played it long enough"), and also by putting it into perspective with in-game metrics, which have a way of telling what players don't say. Like how many have switched to being viper mains versus how many people complain about viper.
