Viper in its 7.0 release state is a very simple and straightforward job with very little opportunities to optimise. It is not particularly punishing to drift what few cooldowns you have nor is it particularly punishing to accidentally press the wrong button - for example, compared to misinputting NIN mudras or breaking Reaper's Shroud Gauge generating GCDs.

Viper's busyness is all it has in the form of difficulty and skill expression. Please do not make changes to Viper to make it easier, such as the proposed easing of directional requirements, unless you plan to introduce new complexity to the job
