Awesome trailer. Was hoping to see some in-game footage mixed in, but whatevs they'll release that soon. Main disappointment was the amateur voice acting... this obviously young dude is overdoing the accent, and ends up sounding like he hasn't pushed puberty yet. I'll be selling the concept of this game to my friends on mute if I have to use this trailer. Plus, I swear he's trying not to laugh during "...until now..."

Next time, SE, get Patrick Stewart.

The fact of the matter is that there are certain types of "voices" that sell in the North American market:
    1. Movie Trailer Voice

    2. British Voice

    3. Sexy smooth female voice. (Sometimes, though male voices are more universal.)

I am sure there are others but, those come to mind.

If a business going to reintroduce a product that is in desperate need of a consumer base, financial gains and intrigue then you are going to need to utilize a voice over that is more marketable.

This game is already faltering do to its release reputation, SE needs to make sure every move they execute is 100% satisfactory (or at least appeals to market standards) or people will stop looking, stop being interested.

As petty as it sounds a voice over that is disliked by the majority of current clientele may most likely have a negative effect on any potential customers.
I thought the voice was fine, I think the actual story and art sells more than the voice. I don't go see movies because Don LaFontaine or another voice actor voiced it. I go because I like to see big giant robots fight each other.

I'm not sure how because of a couple of comments you get that the majority of the people didn't like the trailer voicing or won't go get the game because of the voice actor. Also, there is more to media then one trailer, we are talking about a website along with marketing and several other trailers, screenshots, concept art, etc.

Fine for you yes, but what about the more wary audience?
