CAN WE PLEASE FIX THE HAIR IN THE GAME

I would test your settings first like mentioned above by Amenara.

Try using the preset for Standard and check, then set it to Maximum and see if the hair looks the same. (Max turns off DLSS completely I think)

Edit: Didn't see your post before I made mine, but turning 3D Resolution Scale to 99 should make the picture ultra sharp, at 100 it will blur.

that's all fine and well but it will not change the hair model. It is literally a game issue on their end and not ours. I invite you to try the same with a female miqo and several hair styles, this being one of the worst.

I wish this were the case, but it's not lol. I'm using the "maximum" preset, and it still forces FSR or DLSS on (whichever you've selected), regardless of dynamic resolution settings.

I found the problem, but I would rather post this in shame being wrong than not helping anyone and staying quiet.

At some point, and god knows why, in the NVIDIA control panel I had a NEGATIVE LOD BIAS set to CLAMP. I've had this game installed for years on my PC without an issue and this was the only setting marked differently for this game specifically. No doubt at some point I followed a guide and changing this setting solved something. What it solved I can no longer tell you, but it stands to reason that people experiencing this issue may have done the same, and have just forgotten this setting solved something in the past.

Change the NEGATIVE LOD BIAS from CLAMP to ALLOW (Global Setting) and restart the game. I am sorry I was wrong. And It was related to LOD, just not in game, it was in the Control Panel for NVIDIA.



This is how the character looks now, while not crystal clear on the hair its livable now.
