SOLVED FOR ME, PAGE 3


This is a picture of the most zoomed in you can get on your character and it is STILL showing the low quality hair model, this should only be at max zoomed out levels.



It is impossible to see the new high definition hair on some hair cuts unless you are in the aesthetician, a cutscene or you pin the camera against a wall.

THIS IS OBJECTIVELY WORSE THAN BEFORE. PLEASE FIX.

Are you using DLSS or FSR with dynamic resolution on? If so I would try turning it off. With FSR I would put the scaling bar at 99. It feels like it is an issue I remember having back with the original benchmark and messing around with DLSS.

No I have a 4090 running with no DLSR and FSR at max graphics. It is so irritating I'm jumping around haircuts that make me less depressed.

Literally, no custom nothing, just maximum and FSR at 100%, 99% doesn't make a difference on the hair, just tried, this is not a graphics setting issue.

I would test your settings first like mentioned above by Amenara.

Try using the preset for Standard and check, then set it to Maximum and see if the hair looks the same. (Max turns off DLSS completely I think)

Edit: Didn't see your post before I made mine, but turning 3D Resolution Scale to 99 should make the picture ultra sharp, at 100 it will blur.

It seems like your GPU isn't wanting to load the hair texture for some reason then. Try doing a post in the bug report forum and seeing if anyone else has had the issue or has more solutions I guess.

that's all fine and well but it will not change the hair model. It is literally a game issue on their end and not ours. I invite you to try the same with a female miqo and several hair styles, this being one of the worst.

Don't have a miqo but I will make one to test out the hairstyles when I get off work tonight. I have a 7900XTX so it might not occur on my GPU.

It will do it on your GPU too. It's been designed this way. Much to my disappointment. But I will wait eagerly your results here. Like I said, I can get the HD hair texture just fine if I pin my character against a wall and force a super heavy zoom in.
