removed/ feels like enough has been said about this. in retrospect/ at least it was an okay way to show us new maps.

One of the best ways to drain people's energy nowadays is via the internet. - Colin Robinson
Because she 'needs' us to help her ascend the throne, despite having the almighty power of friendship.
If you're seriously considering a refund I just want to offer 2 points of info:I just got to 91 dungeon, and wtf i'm already kind of bored.
I thought Wuk was an underdog, but she's literally an adopted princess. She knows this continent better than we do. Like why does she need us?
The vanu tribe knew how to fix their float, they were just too lazy. I literally skipped all of the trading people's cutscenes to get the alpaca saddle or whatever.
Ergh... I did not expect dawntrail to be a pokemon gym badge story.
I was kinda hyped because i quit since 6.1 and i didn't give a hoot about the golbez plotline. But dam, this is bad. I might actually just quit and dispute with paypal. I have been procrastinating even entering the 91 dungeon.
It feels bad to crap on 2 years of their efforts, because overall the graphics look great ASIDE from the forced bloom everywhere.
1. Any disputed charge that I've seen through those that have done so in game results in an automatic full account ban. No exceptions. So if you're going to dispute a charge and get money back from SE, please expect your entire account to be deleted.
2. Regarding the story, I can only speak for myself and the many comments I've read thus far (not all of them, but many many comments), as well as coming from a once toxic positivity person that defended Yoshi P against many criticisms; the story gets much, much worse if you think its bad now. In other words, if you don't like Wuk Lamat, it wont' get better. If you love Wuk Lamat and really enjoy her character as well as the pacing of the story, you'll love the rest of the expansion.

In my opinion, the story doesn’t really pick up until around the 3rd zone, which has some decent story stuff to it. Everything prior was just a slog. The lead up to the 93 trial and dungeon weren’t terrible, though. 4th zone is the best in my opinion, if only because it gave me the “new adventure” vibe I was hoping for. Everything really picks up by the time you reach the 5th zone, but there’s still a lot left to be desired in my opinion.
All that said, the second half did have more of my attention than the first half. If you have it in you to muscle through, I’d give it a shot. I will let you determine the worth, though. Reviews for DT are fairly critical at this stage, but there are still others enjoying it. Maybe you will be able to find some good in it at the end.

That's awful to hear, and I'm sorry that's been your experience so far. There are some really good groups of people to be found, but a MMO without friends is a hard game to stick with. There is a community center on the lodestone that has people recruit for their social groups, as well as lots of discord servers for XIV. I know these may be exhausting to search through, and trust me, I hear you on the tired comment - me too. I just hate to hear you've had such a bad experience so far. Different datacenters might be an option to. I play on NA and there are a number of social groups around - not just RP stuff either. Try out Aether or Crystal. I've also had lots of nice experiences on Dynamis too.
The dungeons and trials are great so I recommend at least trying those since you are sitting at the first dungeon.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it gets worse. All the fun tropes of a self insert main character come out in force and the story notices you less and less. Some people think the last areas improves but it still falls prey to CNU3s worse habits and Wuk is still hamfisted into everything.
Do the dungeons and trials, they're actually really good. Just become a story skipper. You won't regret it. I started skipping when I got to the last zone and the experience became more tolerable.I just got to 91 dungeon, and wtf i'm already kind of bored.

This was also my approach. I just started to skip every scene by the end of the third zone in which the characters had to reiterate their goals and feelings, and it became a much better experience from that point onwards without missing the big plot points.
It really shows how padded DT is.
Scion: Where's Wuk Lumat?
Quest: Speak to Wuk Lamat
Quest: Speak to Wuk Lamat again.
Quest: Speak to Wuk Lamat a third time.
Quest: Find Wuk Lamat
Wuk Lamat: Friendship/Hope/Leadership/Alpacas/Food/Zoom in On fist (Use a roulette wheel to choose)
WoL: Nods in agreement to whatever the roulette wheel chose.
Repeat this for every zone.
