I'm having a very strange issue. Every 30 minutes from when I start my PC, FF14 will drop to 0 fps for a second, and then again about a minute and a half later. I've verified that it happens almost exactly 30 minutes after I boot my PC, and is unrelated to when I boot FF14. My GPU usage plummets to 0%, my CPU usage stays mostly the same, and then it will go straight back up to a solid 144fps for the next 27 minutes. I have:
Disabled all overlays
Disabled Game Bar
Disabled Hardware Acceleration
Tried both full screen and borderless windowed
Switched between FSR and DLSS
Closed background applications
Did a clean install of GPU drivers (I've tried 2 separate ones, both 555.99 and the most current driver)
Messed with/lowered graphical settings
Removed my GPU undervolt
Reinstalled the game to my C: drive
Updated windows
Disabled full-screen optimizations
and no luck. My hardware is FAR above recommended (4080, 5800X3D, 1TB m.2)I'm only having this issue with FF14. I've tried it with 3 other games, and none of them have the same issue. I've created a ticket with Square Enix support and they have been less than helpful. I've looked in event viewer to see if I could find an error or event that happens when the dips happen, and sometimes there is a "TPM failed to execute a TPM command", but that only sometimes overlaps with the dips. All of my hardware is very far from throttling, so it definitely isn't a throttling/overheating issue. FF14 upgraded their graphics engine recently, and I didn't have this issue with the game prior to that. I have no stutters or hitches during these time periods when I'm doing *anything* else. I can't find someone else experiencing the same thing as me. I'm at a loss of what it could be. I'd be less stressed if it turned out to be an issue on the new graphics engines end, but the fact that the timing depends on when I boot my PC makes me think it isn't.
