I'd like to add yet another voice to the ongoing concerns about the projected Viper changes.

I think that it's absolutely the job FFXIV has needed for a long while now. It being a busy job is perfect! The busyness is part of its identity, so reducing that that would reduce a lot of the fun out of it.

Not only that, but having 6 clearly marked positionals is really cool! Viper having the identity of a relentless attacker that's constantly moving and adjusting is wonderful. I don't think it needs playstyle adjustments at all. Especially mere daya after the job came out and ESPECIALLY not in the middle of concerns about job homogenization. Any change that reduces the number of positionals or results in a less busy job IS a step towards homogenization decided not even a week out of early access. To have this on the heels of Yoshi-P's interview regarding his own personal uncertainty regarding removing Kaiten feels very strange to me.

I sincerely and respectfully hope that any adjustments are less in the vein of Kaiten and more in the vein of "We doubled the range on the Gnashing Fang combo so go nuts."

Viper is the closest to perfect as melee gets right now, imo.
