Yoshi P always says the best way to give feedback is to leave a post on the forums, so I'm doing that for my first post here.
Dawntrail's MSQ was an absolutely fantastic all around experience to me. It was a very strong beginning to the next 10 years of FF 14 and I eagerly look forward to what's coming down the line
- The MSQ itself was a wonderfully paced and very interesting experience. I loved the touring nature of the first half, and seeing so many of Tural's cultures and peoples and learning about them was so fascinating to me. No area stayed overlong as the focus and the movement between zones and plots was excellent.
- The visual design and area design of everywhere was really great. So many varied landscapes and places, Tuliyollal has such a great appearance and layout, and the areas are all so distinct and picturesque to explore. Really makes me want to complete my sightseeing log this expac!
- I'm extremely glad SE took the time and expense to get cultural rep consultants for this expansion. I hope they do so again in the future to keep XIV a welcoming and positive space for players and fans all over the glove.
- The rite of succession storyline as a backdrop to all of this was a great way to drive the plot forward, and I really enjoyed seeing it develop, alongside....
- WUK LAMAT IS SO GOOD. I love her personality, her character, her development! She really matured and grew into a capable and confident leader from her impulsive and hotheaded self, and it was such a delight watching her grow into somebody that was more than worthy to sit on the throne! Having the WoL in a mentor-like or side capacity was a fantastic way to do this expansion and I would love to see it return for future expansions if it suits the story!
- I played with the English voices and I felt everyone was very well cast, especially Sena as Wuk Lamat! She brought such a character and charm to the role, and she really sold her to me in those emotional moments! The only weakness with her voice were a few spots that required more power or strength, such as the final trial, when I felt that her delivery lacked the power that the scene was portraying. To me that feels like more of an issue with her direction rather than the VA herself, though, but I want to reiterate that overall I think she did an amazing job and was a particular standout!
