Ps5 version Crashing Occasionally Since Starting Dawntrail

Is anyone else having full ps5 system shutdowns while playing dawntrail? I've seen other posts saying it could be overheating but I took the sides off my ps5 on the morning before dawntrail early access and cleaned every inch of fan and all vents with compressed air. My machine is spotless, it doesn't overheat when playing other intensive ps5 games and is in an area with plenty of ventilation, clear on all sides. I only started getting crashes yesterday after reaching the 4th quest zone. It's not the game crashing but the entire console itself shuts down without warning and I have to pull the power lead and plug it back in to get it back on.

If it is overheating it's something this game is doing specifically. As I said my ps5 is spotless. Could it be related to the memory leak issue that's being investigated on Xbox and also seems to be affecting some PC players? Anyone else having this problem? It was fine for the first 4 days of early access but I've had 2 sudden shutdowns today and yesterday all during cutscenes. The other thing that makes me think it isn't overheating is that it doesn't happen again once I power cycle the ps5 for 6+ hours.

I've seen toggling 30fps mode floated as a potential fix but to me that's just not really acceptable. Hoping there is something that can be done to correct this issue in a patch.

Recently i cleaned my ps5 and after i switched to 4k@30fps, and yestarday i got two overheating warnings and today i got system shutdown (at some instanced fight @ 95 lvl). Playing the game this way (4k@30fps) for most of the time i don't have issues, even i don't hear fan spinning fast but most of the times this happens in cutscenes.
I read about this problem here, and on other forums/sites and my only concern is that, that sqex don't address this anyway. If this a PS5 problem, i'm (probably) ok with this but i would love to see a some info from their side that they investigating this problem, or that they tested it and they don't see any.

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Forums.

If you are experiencing issues with the PlayStation version of Final Fantasy XIV, please try the following:
    ■ Perform a system update on your PlayStation®5/PlayStation®4
Perform the most recent system update and then try a version update for FINAL FANTASY XIV Online.
PlayStation®5: The update can be performed from the home menu by selecting
[Settings] → [System] → [System Software] → [System Software Update]
    ■ Remove peripheral devices to create a simpler environment for the program to run
Remove any peripheral USB devices (gamepads, cameras, microphones, headsets, etc.) to create a more stable, simple environment for your console to run the game. Also consider inserting the devices to different USB ports or removing and reinserting them.
    ■ Re-install FINAL FANTASY XIV Online
If the installed data has been corrupted, the issue may be resolved by re-installing the game.
If all else fails, try doing a system restore/factory reset on the system as a last resort as follows:
    1. Navigate to the Settings menu (cog icon)
    2. Select System software
    3. Select Reset options
    4. Select Reset your console
    5. Select Reset

If the installed data has been corrupted, the issue may be resolved by re-installing the game.

Additionally, if you are using the PlayStation 5 specific version of the game client, try using the PlayStation 4 original version to see if that may help as an optional solution. We hope this information is helpful.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
