Scholars lack of AOE

Just why won't they touch Scholars, make energy drain AOE or make deployment tactic like PVP? would it truly hurt the game to give it some AOE? Scholars are by far the weakest healers in any AOE situation.

Why are you implying that "adding AoE to Energy drain or spread dot with deployment tactic" wouldn't have compromising changes to existing skills? simply just reduce Art of Wars potency to compensate for the addition of the new AOE.
I could spend hours going through data and write up how to add it in without affecting the balance but I am keeping it short and sweet. Please use some logic.

I don't want to make scholar busted I just want something extra to do instead of slapping the ground.

Honestly just having an upgrade to every drain to make it aoe around like level 69-79 would help a lot. Though a return of dot spread via deployment tactics should also be considered, could add a bonus trait on art of war to do extra damage if there's a dot on a foe to spice things up too.
I miss shadowflare and miasma.

I think the problem is less of more aoe damage being needed but a severe lack of aoe damage abilities for a long period of time. SCH aoe is in a very poor state because all of the damage comes from Art of War until 92.
Anyway I think healers being deleted from dungeons in general is more of a risk then SCH, lol.

SCH is a stronger raid healer than it is a dungeon healer so I don’t think SCH being too strong in dungeons is a particularly big problem

SCH should honestly just get AOE energy drain and a bane off deployment at the absolute minimum in modern garbage healer design to make up for it. AOW is the strongest of the AOE spells and the only one that’s a gain on 2 but it’s just boring

I agree Scholar should have more AoE buttons! An energy drain upgrade into old Bane or just AoE would be lovely.
