Solution 9 Hub (Idea)

This idea came to me and i wanted to post it on the official forums to get everyone's thoughts and maybe get YoshiP's attention should this gather enough attention.

The core of this idea comes from that the old hubs feel abandoned whenever a new expansion comes out. E.g. Mor Dhona, Idylshire, Rhalger's Reach, Eulmore, and now Radz-at-Han.

This has gotten better with each expansion with the inclusion of additional activities. I think expanding on this would be fantastic for Dawntrail.

This is just a wish list, but what I would like to see is the following;
- Apartments! This would be a fantastic addition for housing and could have different floor layouts for different prices. Maybe something like studio, 1bd, 2bd, and the penthouse. This would be a great Gil sink as well for the game.
- An Arcade! When the Nexus Arcade was mentioned I got my hopes up for more mini games. Fun mini games could be something like moto rider, an equivalent of galaga, and other fun simple arcade games. If a high score system would be implemented players could come back to challenge the high score! They could use an alternate currency as well AGC (Alexandrian Game Credits) to exchange for Electrope Based prizes and furnishings.
- A market board (Market Terminal) - while traditionally there isn't a market board in Raid Hubs, having one in a central location would be beneficial to players that craft, would call it home, or just need to grab a quick Materia.
- Being able to purchase animation effects! I personally loved the wackiness of drinking a certain beverage and going all rainbow. It would be super neat to get vouchers for animation effects such as that either through Gil, AGC, or other means.

This is just an idea. I think it would be really neat to expand on Solution 9 and make it a true long term hub where players keep coming back.

Yeah with it being a raid hub, SE would need to break convention.

My guess is that we'll probably get furniture themed (if not already, didn't look for it) around Alexandria, with house walls and other house modifiers.

Love your ideas but CBU3 is way too stingy to ever do anything exciting like this.

I especially love the idea of an arcade. We should put minigames all over Sol 9 to be honest. You could have a mixing station minigame for making some drinks over at the bar. Like let players do "immersive" little minigames. It might even encourage people to RP more.

Solution 9 is great!

And we need this to be more habitable, we need this to be the new city to be the place to chill and hang out.

Apartments would be awesome, some place to do some activitis would be great.
A marketboard so people stay there more would be also awesome.

I made Solution Nine my home city and go there to chill with my wife a lot. I love that city, I wish it was more appealing for it to be the new best city in the game.


A lot of us would love to live in a city like this, the city is great and so cool, full of recreative places and cool structures.

Please devs make this a thing.

I love the design and vibe or Solution 9, and I desperately want it to be a proper hub, instead of just a place to stop by for vendors before returning to Limsa.

Even just adding a market board would go a long way to making it a place people will actually stay.

Solution 9 and Tulioylall are both large enough I dont understand why Mounts are still disabled.

Hell even flight would be justified in for Tulioylall

MB's won't be used in Solution 9 because then no one would have a reason to visit Tulioylall outside of the MSQ/questing. They do this intentionally to keep people split between hubs to keep both populated. As nice as it would be, I highly doubt they'll deviate from how they've done hub layouts since Heavensward.
