High RAM Usage since Dawntrail?

Posting on here as well since I'm getting desperate. Don't know if anyone else has this problem, but since downloading Dawntrail, I've been having a problem with growing RAM usage. Starts at roughly 2.5GB of usage but the longer I'm on, the more RAM it starts to use. Won't have to be even actively playing, even when I'm just standing there. Eventually it hits the threshold of my 16gb RAM, and the game crashes. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and even bought brand new RAM sticks at 32gb instead, and the problem still persist, just at a slower rate. Anyone have any thoughts or solutions?

Yes, it's called a memory leak and usually results from programming errors. There is programming libraries to test against these. It usually comes from someone reserving computer memory for something and not freeing it up. I hope they fix it soon.
If you're not moving it's most likely either in the network program-code of FFXIV or in the display program-code for everything happening around you. There is little you as a user can do against it except opening and tracking a ticket or posting to the forums for now.

Commenting to say I'm having this issue and crashing because of it. Had no issues prior to Dawntrail. Seems to get worse each week.

SE just needs to fix their game. The problem is theirs, not the players. Being a prick with your replies doesn't help anyone.

I can't reproduce high memory usage.

Task Manager says the game is using about 3GB which is normal.
