Fantasy trust fund brat. :'DDamn you're right, I totally forgot that aspect of Naruto.
She's Naruto minus the obvious attention-seeker side (that is warranted since Naruto was discarded and botherline hated by the village).
So an annoying kid that got everything they want and clings to their new friends whilst wanting to be the main character in every situation.

I kind of pushed it out of my mind in the moment, but now it's coming back to me, didn't she even have a line telling Bakool Ja Ja off for thinking he deserves the throne because of his birth? Or maybe it was another character on Wuk Lamat's or Koana's side, but boy, in retrospect I was giving the writing so much slack in the first half, because what I do remember is that the line was said completely unironically and without challenge.

I wouldn't quite say that, I'd compare her more to an AI chatbot who's only programmed to say certain things/act a certain way and is predisposed to respond to situations in very predictable ways. Wuk has character traits that make her seem human enough but when something unpredictable or outside of her usual programming happens (Like new information that she's never heard before about the WoL and Scions' adventures) instead of being curious and asking about it, she instead ignores it and finds something else to talk about so she can stay in her parameters.Damn you're right, I totally forgot that aspect of Naruto.

Wuk doesn't feel like an actual person because she lacks any deeper levels of emotion besides the surface-level stuff she spouts. She actually feels like she runs on ChatGPT or some sort of AI chatbot software.

The Legends of the Titanmen lives on, a shining example of the power of compassion and the ability of people to make a difference in the world. A reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope, as long as there are heroes like the Titanmen who dare to do good deeds in Eorzea.

I think of Wuk as how I felt about Zero. I disliked Zero when I first met her, thinking she was edgy and emo and bland. But once the story progressed and I played through it, I loved Zero and how her character developed.
It's amazing so many ppl saying a character SUCKS when she was just INTRODUCED. Talk about judging a book by its cover. Give me a break. Do you do that IRL too?

Yes. Everyone does that. I'm tired of pretending that people don't do that. It doesn't take 20 hours to realize you find an annoying person annoying.

If I feel weirded out by someone's first interaction or if I just can't vibe with them after a prolonged period of time, I'm not gonna force myself to like them. Even if they're a coworker or classmate where I'd be forced to interact with them everyday. If I do not vibe with someone, I'm simply not gonna bother befriending them.
I gave Wuk Lamat a chance. I simply do not vibe with her or her character or her character trope and I cannot force myself to care about her lame character development. She pretty much had the spotlight for the entire 30+ hour MSQ. If a character needs anymore time than that, they can fuck off lmao

i don't even hate wuk but this statement only makes sense if DT wasn't already outI think of Wuk as how I felt about Zero. You: How do you know you don't like it if you don't eat several of them over the next few years

I just spent like 30 hours with her. If you are super generous and remove 10 hours for dungeons/wandering around - that's two full seasons of Game of Thrones. If you cannot develop a character in 20 hours, you're an awful awful writer.I think of Wuk as how I felt about Zero. I disliked Zero when I first met her, thinking she was edgy and emo and bland. For comparison, Emet, Yotsuyu, and Fordola were given around the same amount of time. Koana was given half of that.
