Follow these instructions to turn it off.
Thank you for this attempt! However, when I went to try it, the original post was deleted.

I did recover the instructions from a cache, but it didn't work when I tried it. (And yes, I double-checked the read-only flag.) I still got the same blurring as on FSR 100. That may be why the post wound up deleted.

Cant win either way. With FSR you get the usual flickering/shimmering of grass/shrubbery which is even worse in the new areas. With DLSS you get blur that makes textures go in and out of focus whenever you stop moving (super noticeable in 4k). I swear the pop in and draw distance didn't used to be this bad either.

Pop in and draw distance was most definitely bad before. The main difference now is it's more noticeable due to the enhanced visuals.

Erm .... maybe my 60Hz TV is too crappy or something but what blur?

Despite you janking the camera around in that video, I can still clearly see the lines between the individual stones. How would that "blur" (I play with DLSS, so yes there is a tiny amount of blurring when moving due to temporal AA) prevent from seeing large floor structures in combat? Your post seems overly dramatic to me.

Personally, I vastly prefer the removal of the annoying flickering from edges and foliage with DLSS, even if I pay for that with a little overall softness.

Yes, I totally agree that SE's DLSS implementation sucks donkey balls. None of the options seem to do anything, whether I set it to "below 30" or "always active" doesn't make a lick of difference. Also not being able to choose between "quality" and "performance" like we can in other games is weird as heck.

There is no upscaling with FSR 100.

As I said in the video description:
To easily see the blurring from forced upscaling, watch the center of the video and observe how my character shifts from blurry to clear and back.
I myself play at 60 FPS, and that video is recorded at 30 FPS, so your TV's refresh rate isn't preventing you from seeing the blur. Your TV's resolution and/or your distance from the screen might be, though.

Did you miss how much of my original post, with embedded images, is about my needing to see small, low-contrast floor structures and tiny differences with respect to waymarks, and see them fast? You may be able to compensate for taking longer to find a small structure by reacting faster or simply having lots of extra time given by the game, especially since you don't seem to raid. I cannot, and I did say "personally unplayable" right in the title.

Did you also miss that the blurring produces eyestrain for me, which is unacceptable due to pain and risk of permanent vision damage, even if I do manage to do the mechanic?

(Since my eyes are already correctly focused and it's the image that is inherently blurry, this of course fails.) This results in eyestrain from the frequent attempts, distraction from being pulled out of what I should be looking at, and of course more mechanic failures from not looking in the right place.
    As for your personal preferences:

Allow me to simply cite the closing of my original post:

    Good for you!

Since several other people have reported both FSR 100 not turning off upscaling and also getting blurring themselves, including people with quite new hardware and modest resolutions, care to explain why to us and SE? There's even a substantial thread about eyestrain from the graphics update.

You not being observant enough to notice what everyone else has noticed is a "you" problem.

Those problems have nothing to do with FSR, setting it 100 is disabling FSR, you are not upscaling at all.
