The fact is, Alphinaud and Alisaie regardless if they DPS or Heal, actually play the same regardless. This also points out an interesting flaw in how the game does "all rounder" like Venat and G'raha. There is only one AI logic script being used regardless of the role they are in. What actually is happening is the NPC's have their "own versions" of the skills that are different from the player characters (likely to prevent the skills from being destroyed in any reworks of those jobs in the future.) So this isn't a "Alphinaud the healer playing a DPS" this is "Alphinaud the DPS with the healer weapon". Knowing how the healer skills work and then seeing them used that way is a bit of a head scratcher and makes you wonder if they are doing "DPS" levels of damage or healer levels of damage.



Like Alphinaud is using Kerachole here. This is the "Regen" effect. Something a DPS would not have. So if you are playing healer with the NPC's, well Alphinaud is still doing healing.

Its not a bug, its just a assurance that they can fill the party no matter what the player picks as class.
A side effect that we have a smaller travel party with one non combat character

Kind of wish you could go as DPS, Tank or healer versions of a job sometimes lol.
Guess it would be a nightmare to balance if this impacted anything outside of dungeon content, but it's funny how duty support can play Jobs that are outside of its class category.

Maybe for casual content and open world they could introduce the Variant Actions & Passives that can change up class stats to me more tank, heal or dps (maybe even change role icon color for the memes!). I'd love to be a healer paladin even if it was just in casual dungeon content. All if this is highly doubtable though I don't really see this happening, just a silly thought.

This would also make leveling DPS jobs a lot easier because you could be a acting healer for leveling content (which lets be real one or two healing spells will get through you far)
