    It's very unlikely that they'd spend as much time as they have on big-battle content with new items just to have it removed 2-3 months later.

    The monsters (unless there are new ones they're keeping a secret, which would be cool) are recycled and the two zones have been in the files since the beginning, though, so they wouldn't be throwing away too much work.

    I also have a feeling the basic system for skirmish's fights might be used again for battles in Limsa's new floating arena in 2.0. Yoshida said we'd find out why the arena was built through quests, so I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing some of that with this patch.
