Doesn't seem strange that that Yoshida's main patches are usually on par... but 1.23 is below standard? He's holding stuff back he doesn't want us to Know about, He probably wants us to experience it and find it on our own.
That's just how I see it.
I've been fairly certain since the 'Got Gobbue' lodestone post that nothing really significant is going on until 1.23a
This makes sense given that its landing time is around the middle of August, or ... the information flood.
Plus, i'm an Olympics junkie and finding time to play the next couple weeks will be tough anyway.
...but i also agree, they've been so secretive all along that there's no point in spoiling it all in the notes now.
So there's bound to be more to this.

Make it happen.
Makes sense if true. Drop 1.23 with a small amount of content to occupy us for a short time, start up the summer event next week, then 2 weeks after that, the summer event ends and 1.23a drops which will bring the "radical changes" that we're all expecting.
It's possible, anyway.
While a lot of you are probably right about them wanting to stretch out the content so that there isn't this big period of doldrums before 2.0 hits, keep in mind that we have no idea how expansive this whole skirmish deal is.
