Well, Granted that certain places on that list will be for the reason you have said. but Rearranging the Beginning areas/ Glory/Iron Lake/ Whatever the Woad Whisper Canyon and the Isles of Umbra is :P. You get my drift :3.

Isle of Umbra is south Bald Knoll.
From the exploring guide:
The Isles of Umbra: Difficulty:* Patience: **
Aggro Mobs: Crabs, Goobbues
Strategy: Enter the cave on the top. When you come out, you'll need to walk past the crabs. Then just run until you get to the next cave. When you come out, there'll be a goobbue roaming around. Avoid or walk past him to the gate.

Goldsmith get a turban eh? Don't tell me SE already starting with the turban crap LOL /gets namflashbacks about walhara turban AHHHHHHHHHH

I highly doubt they've kept anything from us. I fail to see what it could even be.

Hrm... Let's give it some analysis and see how much stuff is there.
We already know there will be a 1.23a, so let's keep it in mind they're doing a couple of lettered patches.
Six new Side-Quests.
"To Kill a Raven", the Legatus Battle quest. Presumption of mine it will be at least a reasonably long quest, I don't think the fight will be any easy either since he is categorized under 'Primal'.
New Faction Leves. Let's not underestimate that content, why introduce new leves, specially Faction ones? They have a reason, I don't know yet.
Skirmish. I think we're all retty excited about it.
The following zones have had their enemies placement altered: Brittlebark, Crooked Fork, Glory, Twinpools, Sandgate, Bearded Rock, Moraby Bay, Iron Lake, The Isles of Umbra, Woad Whisper Canyon, Bentbranch, Lynxpelt Patch, Verdant Drop.
Most of those are really out of the goddamn way, although some of them are also nearly primary spots (Bentbranch?). I will simply say it's suspicious if anything because there was no real reason to go to those places before, maybe there is now.
There are four pieces of Coliseum gear, and they are not crafted. Which means they drop from somewhere. And if they are included in the patch notes? It means that they are already avaiable (unlike say, the Officer weapons, which were datamined before they were in the patch notes, so we knew what they were before they were in the game). I don't think they are related in any way to Nael's battle as well, it makes no sense.
Player Search feature included three new areas: Rivenroad, Turtleback Island and Locke's Lie. I believe one or two of them is for Skirmish, but what about the other?
Also: Notice they did not include the Yukatas in the patch notes, nor the new dance emote, OR the summer festival quest. We know the event is coming. Simple guess is that it's coming into the next lettered patch.
There we go, a nice summing up, I do think there is a lot of content here, really.

Good point. I'm especially curious about the areas in which the enemy placement has changed. It sounds like something is going down there. And you're right: it's a really interesting mix how major low-level camps such as Bearded Rock are mixed in with (up until now) level 60-99 out of the way places like Lynxpelt Patch.Hrm... Let's give it some analysis and see how much stuff is there.

I'm really curious as to where Rivenroad is, too. Rivenroad...

Great patch notes. Can't wait to play, good job Dev team

Mayhaps the mob re-arrangements has something to do with the "drastic world changes". One can only dream.
My To-Do List!
All the Quests
Kill a Raven
Get a Chocobo Mask, Handle with Care III probably
Turn in mog weapons for seals
Get sanction items
Make a Goldsmith’s Turban
^^

I have a feeling that we're all going to be getting a big surprise once we log on after the patch and begin to explore. But I always try and keep my expectations low as not to be dissapointed by it.
Heck, I'm even expecting dalamud to only be a tad bit larger.
