Ques don't mean the game is good loool. People are playing because they have something to do. I'm doing msq and I'm not enjoying it. But I still need to do it for all the patch content.

I’m on Phoenix. I’m baffled by the short queues this expansion on early access days. The longer was day one, about 4000 players. But later, the higher number was about 400…

The queues are remarkably short compared to EW and prior expansions.

I attribute this partially to SE making changes after EW and the restrictions they put in place and also to a drop of interest in the game (I have several friends who aren't returning to DT because they simply aren't interested in what they see).

I also think that DT has the worst story of any expansion thus far, it's the first time I truly cannot recommend the game to friends as I think the one main selling point of the game (its story) has taken a nose dive in quality.

I also don't think anyone here wants the game to fail, what's frustrating is being with the game for a long time and seeing SE drop the ball horribly. It's time to set up a story that'll carry the game into the future . . . and by all accounts the story thus far is EXTREMELY boring and uninteresting to a lot of players.

When people complain its because they care about something. What you don't want is people to have apathy, because then the product in question is truly dead.

Don't take feedback as a negative against you personally, people are displeased and they have a right to voice their displeasure for a product they pay for.

Huh? I've been playing EA this entire time and the biggest login queue I got was a whopping 76 people. I'm on Zodiark and I don't think it's a particularly low pop server, either. Everyone in my FC has been marveling at the nonexistent queues.

I haven't been enjoing the story much but I think the battle content is pretty fun, so at least DT has that going for it. I'm mildly optimistic about Savage and hoping it's going to be fun also.

Queue times are a poor indicator, I'm playing on one of the highest pop eu servers, zero queue on day one but as I said it's a poor indicator about the health of a game, as it could just mean that the dev team have implemented some backend work to aid the login server, they said they were trying to make things better so to reiterate having a queue or not having a queue doesn't tell us anything. Ultimately I think alot of the OG fanbase will strongly dislike/utterly hate this expac, the question is whether their newer playbase likes this and is big enough to maintain the game going forward.

(What I mean by OG players vs new playerbase, is the game took a more slapstick turn at about the late stb/shb point. And while Shb was great as a story possibly the best the games every been story wise, they started to add in more anime tropes and old memes into the game, there's alot of people that dislike the borderlands esque wow aren't i so zany uwu hahaha, writing that the mainstreams become more and more obsessed with as of late.)
