Picto: Can something be done with starry muse (green circle) + show limited?

Basically just the thread title. As someone who's not playing picto, having a picto in the group and seeing this spell effect (even with Show Limited enabled) is super intrusive. Like, I get that it's a proximity thing, and other things like earthly star + leylines still get shown when you have "show limited" enabled, but when picto drops this giant green circle on the ground it's super distracting, with how it colors the entire section of floor (vs just being some lines or particle effects on the edge)

It'd be nice if something was done about this ability so that it dimmed / showed less of the effect when Show Limited was enabled, or something.

Agreed. Leylines is like half the size and 90% see-through, I can't stand having this enormous opaque flower field in every instance blocking half the damn ground of the arena. Limited/minimal should hide the grass & flowers and just leave the paint circle around the circumference.

Show Limited is a setting that still enables effects with beneficial or healing effects to be seen, like AST Star. Picto's leylines are not only a haste buff to the Picto; they also provide healing ticks to anyone who stands inside them every time the Picto casts a spell (up to 5 times). It's probably because of this healing effect that they want it to remain highly visible -- especially given that many non-PCT players don't even seem to know it does this (though, looking at the tooltip on Starry Muse, can you blame them?).

As for whether or not the particle is too bright, I agree that making the floor green can be a little much. A more clearly defined border with less floor effects might be warranted. But it does need to remain clearly visible so people can use it for raid utility.

Edit: Someone corrected me, disregard the part about standing inside the leylines!

TIL about Starry Muse having a heal component, I’ve got PCT to level 100 and still never even noticed it. Don’t think anyone else has either lol because I’ve literally never seen someone else try to stand in the active area

You don't have to be in the circle to get the heal, it's a (singular) 400p heal from Star Prism to anyone within 30y of the PCT's target. There is no heal from casting any other spell as PCT, whether inside the circle or out. The circle affects nobody besides the PCT themselves in any way whatsoever.

Proof from a level 100 normal raid PCT healing log (regeneration is the natural self HP regen):

I didn't realize that you didn't have to be in it! But it does look like it's on the Star Prism cast, not Starry Muse itself. Maybe they just want it to be very visible so that you know when that heal is about to come out?

But I stand corrected! Definitely could tone it down then.

Ohhh now it makes sense lol. Yeah the heal on Star Prism can be super useful, though it’s a shame it’s so heavily restricted. I think it’d be cool if they made it like Rainbow Bright where you can hard cast it but it takes ages, that way you can access the emergency heal in a worst case scenario and not just during the 30-second window during 120-second burst window

A quick look at the tooltip of starry muse and star prism easily confirms this.

PCT has 3 sources of healing. Star Prism for the 400 potency aoe heal, and temperas coat and grassa. Barriers aren't true healing so much as anti-damage, but it is notable since they can give people a 10% barrier in aoe, and that's not nothing. Sure, it's about 500/250 potency range (give or take, using vercure to try to guesswork it very quickly,) but it's still, technically, healing of sorts. Now if only it didn't feel awful to use grassa....

I guess an easy way to deal with the healing issue is to just have it only heal when under the burst buff or something. Still I don't know where a long cast version of this would fit in since rainbow already covers that.

Neither did I. I thought the only healing was the one from Star Prism.
