My character is many years old and I don't want to change her. Besides, I didn't break it-whoever broke it, let him fix it.
Sad to say it's unlikely they will my friend, the dev team don't walk things back historically, they double down and almost never admit they made mistakes, you literally have to hit them with a million screenshot of an actual bug before they will do jack. You'll either have to pivot or join the rest of us looking for a new mmo to play.
Lack of changes? It's pretty much a copypasta of the previous two expansion templates. Side quests are still as they were and can't be used to for example level other jobs. Same with fates. The last innovation was bicolor gemstones in SHB and Dawntrail is allegedly preparing us for X years to go.
I'm also not sure if focusing on dungeons' difficulty in resolving equations is the best thing to do. Some are "what does it mean" - you die, then you now, then it's trivial. Or tracking and resolving multiple things at once, especially on the healer. Not fun for me.
Not to be a salty astrologian main but... the AST rework.
The job feels so plain now and the one-button spam is worse than before. I miss the busy cardwork so much. The rng was already negligible and was in no way preventing people from clearing high end content as far as I know (wasn't AST even one of the better healers in EW?). Even if the rng was just gimmicky at the end, it was at least a very fun gimmick. It kept me busy, it broke up the 1111111 spam. I had more little resources I needed to manage but if I mismanaged them it wasn't the end of the world either...And astrodyne was a nice "reward" of your card mini-game, neither op nor detrimental if you didn't get 3 seals.
Now it's just...stale. I had hoped that I wouldn't miss it as much but the rework really has sucked one of the most fun aspects out of the job for me.
Not sure why Plunge was removed. Who benefits from it?100% agree with this, it's been so frustrating I spend almost and entire minute of time just pressing 1,2,3 it's so damn dull. What's the double slap in the face for this is war and paladin got to keep their damage dealing gap closers. Havent' quite worked with the numbers yet but I actually think it might be more viable to just do hard slash syphon strike on repeat as it gives you higher mana return allowing for an extra edge in the filler.
It gave people looking for more to do something to weave. And casuals who didn't feel like putting in extra button presses weren't missing out on that much potency - certainly not enough that it matters for the content they are doing.
1. Writing, pacing and lack of reasonable character development. Most of the characters feel stagnant or underutilized.
2. My WOL feels like they've been lobotomized. Let me do more things other than read during MSQ please.
3. The maps are far too big with far too little to do in them. Nice for set dressing, pointless for everything else. Please add secrets or other things outside of sightseeing logs, aether currents and fates.
4. I don't love the SAM changes to Meikyo Shisui. I feels far more punishing to lose access to my charges of Tsubami-gaeshi for a misclick. It also feels bad that I cannot chain Kaeshi: Goken three times despite setting it up.
My issue with Dawntrail (so far since I am still only at start of endwalker) is more visually related: some objects with gold textures now look green inside housing, Gaius B now looks less threatening/intimidating now that he is attired in a lighter softer gold (run praetorium and get to the last boss fight to see for yourself), items like planter partitions look terrible in light gold and can't be dyed. Lastly, a small peeve, shaded spectacles now have light lenses, and no longer look anywhere near as dark when dyed. No dual channel dye.
Black mage got done dirty. Two to Three ice spells cast in order to get mp back? Can only cast lightning once when switching between fire and ice? No more lightning rng? smh.
I wished they had fine tuned things before going live
The rest I am reserving til I get to start Dawntrail...
Updated July 1st:
Mounts tilting when turning isn't a bad idea in itself, but its too sensitive and the mounts sometimes tilt waaay too much when you are turning to the point that the mount might was well be on its side. Its fine on winged mounts while flying, but sometimes looks and feels like hell on other mounts. Example: A battlelion shouldn't tilt to that extreme while running on the ground, regalia tilts too much in air when you turn while flying, and even worse is the SDS Fenrir motorcycle. The SDS Fenrir tilts to the extreme when turning even the slightest! You can't even keep the mount upright now, without it wobbling when riding on ground! etc. Tilting when turning needs to be less sensitive and extreme, especially when using a controller like I do. At least give us a mount settings/options for it, as the controller sensitivity does nothing, for gods sakes.
Once again, how hard is it to set up a test server to let players try out and give necessary feedback in order to fix things, before going live?

Removal of Blood weapon and Plunge were probably the worst changes so far.
I don't know if it constitutes as a change but....
The expansion has been far, far too cutscene driven for its own good. It's a nice story, personally - Don't get me wrong, but it's just so aggressive with how often and how long the cutscenes are.
And Monk and Samurai.
The few job changes they made only served to lobotomize jobs further, make them stricter, clunkier, and less fun.
I do not understand who asked for any of this. We've been giving feedback about how unfun the jobs have been since Shadowbringers launched and it has only gotten worse patch over patch.
