I just don't think it fits 2.0. I would like it better if this was behind the FF14 logo. Would be kinda like FF7/FF9 etc..

Why? 2.0 takes place AFTER Dalamud. Why would Dalamud be the logo for 2.0?
while it would look cool, it wouldent work.
why would the logo for a game have something in it that isnt there anymore/was only made to be an event to give story to the games remaking
if anything the new logo should have to do with the Empire of 2.0
But daaaaaaaaaaamn that looks awesome
The 14 logo is still relevant it's a bunch of adventurer's holding their weapons out to signify the community that XIV offers. If anything the logo will be more relevant as 2.0 comes around because a bigger emphasis will be placed on community play through free companies, housing, pvp etc.
A Fresh play on the current one wouldn't be a bad idea however. It can be prudent to alter many things while holding the theme the same just to impress apon people that its New/changed/updated/Better? etc.
Doesn't mean you have to scrap the idea or theme of the logo, but it would convey New and different if you created a new one.
just like every expansion has a different logo, i think the logo should be redone to signify the new direction the game is heading. ffxiv 2.0 is said to be a world reborn, a different version.
just like ffxiii and ffxiii-2, i see it like ffxiv-2.
You mean like this guy on the Lodestone Front page?
