    At this point, I imagine being hilariously worse than the other healers is a part of White Mage's identity.

    Sage has failed to live up to the fantasy of a sci-fi DPS healer. Please change this for 8.0. Make Sage fast, exciting, and aggressive. It should feel like a healer that plays like a DPS. Empower the aspects of Sage's unique healing mechanics: Kardia and Eukrasia to give its healing playstyle more identity.

    At this point the identities of the healers are basically
    -SCH->always meta
    -WHM->always hot garbage
    -AST->either worse than WHM or an absolute god no in between and will be reworked every expansion
    -SGE->how can you be the developers favourite and somehow always weaker than SCH

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    While SCH was lacking burst and AoE heal back then SCH had more mana at hand for powerfull shields and of course dps. WHM would run out of mana fast. Lustrate was percentage based, so you could use it under Cleric Stance, the fairy was stronger and also kept healing under Cleric Stance and even if SCH had to swap out of cleric the damage came mostly from the DoTs which were still running.

    So you only brought a WHM because there was no other option.

    When we got AST with HW the job was undertuned, but only for a few weeks, then they buffed AST through the roof and since it was basically a WHM copy but with utility - well.

    WHM always was the worst healer.

    It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.
