Now quick Disclaimer i want to stress and acknowledge that i do know that there are resource managements that have to be handled delicately and that their are time constraints and staffing issues that arise
To the topic at Hand now: its been visibly noticeable for a very long time that the developers have been tossing out a billion reskins of gear already present within the game itself whether its crafting, vendor, dungeon, raid or other etc and while we can consider this mostly "filler gear " it can really cheapen the experience when doing content for the first or even second or third time..
this is also effecting mounts as well we sometimes see reskins of old mounts but are changed to a different color.. but its definitely alot more visible in gear/equipment
for a long time as well people have been asking for glamour to be less restrictive but in spite of this we still get recycled gear every expansion and sometimes every patch released with usually maybe only one or two unique set to go alongside that.
i think its time to unlock the restriction on glamours if we can't reasonably expect there to be a whole lot of new pieces of equipment and instead of giving us gear from dungeons give us a coffer of aetherial gear that gives us a chest, head, legging, arms and shoes in one coffer that can be used for any job an drops at the end of the dungeon for completion of it then we can glamour over these with whatever piece of gear we currently have as available options and similiarly a weapon coffer could drop at the end as well and function similarly
this to me would be a much better alternative to just seeing the same sets thrown at us over and over again an the aetherial gear doesn't even have to be designed to anything in particular it could just be the base starter gear or class quest gear from the job of choice you open the coffer with and then they can focus on designing unique sets for the raids, tomestones, and endgame content etc.
so i believe the restrictions should be changed to the following:
-relic and job specific gear should remain as iconic and job staples
-for all gear dungeon related, raid related, trial, or other content that can be completed and farmed or purchased thru vendor or market board should be unrestricted for glamour by ALL DISCIPLINES wether they are DoW/Dom(disciples of war or magic) or DoH/DoL(disciples of the hand and land)
-you should still be required to have the level requirement to make the pieces of equipment available but it should only reflect one job/discipline not be required of all of them etc.
similarly for dungeons i think glamour prisms should be an item that randomly drops with in the coffers scattered thru out dungeons to facilitate these changes so that players can get the understanding that they can use the glamour feature on these aetherial equipment coffers gear etc
