Returning player after year off, need tips.

I tried looking, Google and reading forums. But I can't seen to find some unanswered questions.

    1) How do you look for a group to join up for some exp, or has that not been applied yet.

    2) After doing the leve quests, what else is there to do, besides mining and fishing and leveling up goldsmithing.

I noticed there are dungeons and other events that I can not find, except for Grabd Company but I need to be 22, and I am currently 20. Suggestions accepted, thank you!

Can't say much on XP parties, but you can solo grind, seek out or craft items that you want for your class, do sidequests, or, at your level, explore Shposhae outside Limsa Lominsa. You can also level up other classes to improve the performance of your main. For both tips on soloing and cross-class abilities, check out this post I made on the FFXIV subreddit.

If you want to let parties know that you are looking for a group, you can set yourself as seeking party in the player search, instructions here.

If you want to see if any parties are currently looking for members, you can use the Party menu. Instructions are here (at the very bottom).

For whatever reason the english-speaking community has not been getting mileage out of these functions. As much as they complain, they work perfectly fine. Japanese players use them a lot though and for general XP they definitely won't mind if you join them.
