Trusts were a mistake. Not only did they completely destroy every ARR dungeon for them, now we're destroying the story for them.

While I'm not loving the story so far? They said multiple times it was a new story arc. If players did not lower their expectations? Then that is entirely on them. I still see people hoping for the ancients and Allagans. What part of "end" do people not understand?
And I'm not saying this to "defend" anything as people with Reddit-debate brain would accuse me here. I'm saying this because it shows how poor people are at listening and comprehending words.

Also, I remember YoshiP saying that if people like this, then it may be part of a future arc. By the reviews here I'm assuming it won't be. So I'm hopeful they have other stories or a better way to use these zones in the future. The issue with StB is we helped these people and barely spoke or worked with them again. I can't help but feel that's what is about to happen here.

Why would a new story arc need to be bad to exist? I don't understand where this talking point comes from. Did an influencer say it or something?

HW was a new arc. SB was a new arc. ShB was certainly a new arc. There are billions of stories in the world who don't poop the bed just because it's an original work--heck, they have to hook people because people will drop it.

ARR was a new arc yet it was at least twice as good as DT despite being like 80% filler (lol sorry you need to go get a 4th crystal, kekw please collect some dinner for yourself for 10 hours, picking tea leaves for tataru)

I'm curious if he hears the kind of feedback we're seeing on this forum or not. Do they even read the English forums? I hope he sees people are not happy with the writing this expansion.

The dungeon/trial designers are excellent however.

Thankfully, even if they ignore the EN side, the JP side is even more furious and brutal than we are right now. Some of the stuff they're posting about the story... Man.

The JP offical forums pretty neutral, there's like 2 post saying they don't think the story is good that's it. It's the unofficial forums where the JP community are flaming the shit out the game. I think it's cause the JP official forum community really hold someone to stuff they say on the forum, like they get mass reported and harassed etc for stating an unpopular opinion. I'm taking that from reading some post where they say things along the lines, of I'm not trying to be rude so do not report etc, the wording is constantly on the fence as if to avoid trouble, where as here we're mouthy AF. People be throwing hands on the EU forums :'D
