They need a fast track to 90 when introducing new jobs...

This goes without saying but expecting existing EXP options to work for fast tracking people so they can at least get to the expansion content, seems a touch short sighted.

With how minimal the complexity is on the jobs there isn't much of a reason someone should be stuck running around in a chicken flock doing fates or waiting forever in queues. Viper takes about an hour or so to get the hang of and Picto seems about the same, and the only new ability they get along the way to 90 is one skill that probably could have been there in some lesser form from the start.

They need something like how Death Knight got handled in WoW, where it takes you through some story bit and by the time your done you're caught up. Especially since a lot of people coming to play the expansion have already played FFXIV before and may have ground endlessly already on this existing content.

Naw man, it's already too fast. I'd prefer if they started at one. I want to play with people that know how to play a new class well, not someone who started a new class two hours ago and is already doing end-game content. Besides, what's the rush?

What in blazes are you talking about? This is getting to play Dawntrail MSQ! The only way anyone gets the job is if they have the expansion and if someone already completed Endwalker and was spending time leveling multiple jobs up already, they are probably bleeding out from the eyes on the number of times they have done endwalker dungeons, fates, end everything else!

No one is going to be "more skilled" with a job that they mindlessly had to grind from 80 to 90 like they just did for their Bard or whatever, running through fate trains, doing Bozja, and conducting roulettes, than someone who goes through some keyed special sequence of job specific quests that ends with someone being 90 and they can begin the expansion they paid for. Obviously if someone hasn't finished endwalker then they'd probably have to do it the old fashion way, but if the job is locked until someone finishes endwalker that is kind of pointless anyway.

Just because you got Picto and Viper in less than an hour doesn't mean most players do. If we're going to use edge cases as examples, then I still see White Mages spamming Cure I and Black Mages that don't use Leylines in 90+ content.

Ten levels is a good balance to get people to practice the job without slowing down the journey to msq too much. I got viper to 90 in about a day. The only thing I'd change is that I'd like there to be more than one chapter of job quests for each new job.

Would be nice, but in the same vein, it is a good chance for people to practice the fundamentals of the job.

Unless they just reworked it so that they just gave you 10 quests or so which give a level each and include a solo instance, which builds upon the class along the way.

I would prefer if they started at level 1. Learning new jobs by having 8 combo buttons that are actually 2 buttons worth of abilities is rough. And frankly it would help low level queues since some of them are 2 hours.

There sort of already is though, it's called Road to 90, but you gotta be willing to move to a new/preferred world to access it.

they have new classes 10 lvs lower specifially to curtail the amount of ppl doing msq, if X amoujnt of ppl are levelingg new cclasses, then thatss X amount of people the new zones arnt being taxed with more ppl flooding in to do msq, its a conscious deliberaate choice
