Dendrological Duties ( CON quest )

can anyone explain how i can activate this quest? im a rank 34 conj and i want to get fastcast for a trait from the guild. when i go to the guild to buy the trait fastcast it says i cant get it yet. im assuming i need to do this quest but for some reason i cant get it, an online source said i should be able to do this quest around rank 20. does anyone know how i can get this quest?

Two things:

1 - You will need to have sufficient guildmarks to purchase the ability. These can be obtained from leves, but I'm assuming you know that bit.

2 - Only a few are actually available to purchase at first. The rest are unlocked by completing the conjurer's story quest. You usually speak to the left-hand receptionist to initiate these quests. They become available at level 20, 30 and 36. A few more abilities become available for purchase when you finish each of these quests. Fastcast is one of the ones that becomes available after the Rank 20 quest.

I'm guessing the part I've bolded is the bit tripping you up. If the receptionist doesn't help you, talk to other people in the guild hall. Someone in the Stillglade Fane should be able to give you the quest.

Once the r15 quests are done and you have sufficient marks the quest should be available.

I may be a day late and $3.62 short, but I 'just' got this quest today (I didn't even know there were other quests other than the main story line and the new side quests until I stumbled across 'Hoodwinked' yesterday) and noticed I didn't even see that the guy had a quest (and presumably he wouldn't give it to me if I asked him) until I actually equipped a Conjurer's item in my main hand and my class changed, then the quest icon popped up over his head.

So now I need to run around every city and change to all of my classes to see if there's anything I'm missing

Yeah, Hoodwinked was the first I ran across (Weaver), and came to Girdania to do the Conjurer and Leatherworking ones. Sadly, I'm not sure what to spend my Conjurer guild marks on.

I didn't know it would be 30 and 36 after that though, good to know!
