Launcher procedure entry point dx11 error when pressing play

Trying to fix for 12 hours now...any help would be appreciated.

Last played night before patch. Did patch download yesterday & small upload this morning in launcher. When I press the green play button the launcher closes & this error pops:

The procedure entry point SetProcessDpiAwarenessContext could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files(x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game\ffxiv_dx11.exe

did sfc scan, reboot, restore from launcher & re-downloaded the patch, reboot again, tried removing file from docs, signed into launcher again...every time get to green play button same prob & error code.

I'm also seeing this same issue on my laptop. DirectX diag didn't have any issues and I tried replacing the file it mentioned with one from a working machine to no avail. Tried updating graphics driver as well.

Still having issues. DirectX diag came back clear on me too

Tried these from older posts w/similar issue but did not work:

-disabled hardware acceleration in firefox
-downloaded directx_Jun2010_redist & properly installed through directX installer w/no issues
-moved game location folder from prog filesx64 (pathing in orig error msg) up a lvl to C drive (getting same "ffxiv_dx11.exe - Entry Point Not Found" error message but with the new pathing for the folder):

I havent figured it out yet.. if yall get it runnin can u update the thread w/ a fix?

I ended up figuring out my issue accidentally through a completely different game telling me that my graphics driver was severely out of date, telling me "The installed version of the NVidia Graphics Driver has known issues in D3D11. Please install either the latest or the recommended driver version or switch to a different rendering API". I have Intel i7-8750H CPU 2.20 GHz. Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, but the driver I had was 518-something. But the catch was, my computer and the "Geforce experience" program that should have downloaded and installed the most current drivers weren't actually doing that. So along with repairing FF14's files and having to wait another couple hours to finish downloading, I was also installing a more current driver through their website. Lo and behold the game works again for me. The version I downloaded and installed is NVidia Studio Driver (more stable) version 555.99 . Hopefully that offers some insight to help with trouble shooting. I wish you the best of luck.
