oddly enough im the only person experiencing this on our connection - three others play ffxiv on our wifi just fine :[ and im only experiencing it in ffxivHard to say for sure, but this sounds like a connection issue. Most likely a packet loss, but could also simply be latency. Sometimes even the servers can be weird and route you through a laggy "gate". Have you tried checking your ping to google and maybe even FFXIV sites?
i pinged the aether ip, its 36ms with no packet loss
The following fixed like 80% of my issues. Still getting 20 frame loss every 30-60s seconds for 1 second but it's not as bad as it was.
1. Have the game .exe set to run as administrator
2. Right click the ffxiv.exe and goto properties and check the box that says "disable full screen optimization"
3. In Nvidia GeForce, turn off the on screen overlay

I think that's a sensor bug with HWMonitor.
There's no way your GPU is 79c and at 0.6% usage.
Getting choppy and gameplay and losing like half my framerate after going anywhere near large player hubs, ie Solution 9, Alliance raid / frontlines. My CPU usage caps out at 20 - 30% ( I have a 24core 5900x) and my GPU usage is at 60% tops during these bad frame moments, but once I restart my system usage returns to normal, at least for a while.

RAM usage also slowly spikes over the period of play, so far the highest was 5.8GB, and knowing that XBOX has a memory fragmentation issue, I feel like it may be related to that possibly.

I've had the exact same issue since launching DT, despite having a new computer from 2022 and a benchmark score of 'very high'. FPS spiking between 120 and 40 since installing the expansion, regardless if zone is crowded or not.
I've tried all the different hot fixes suggested here and on reddit, even cleaned out my fans cause I figured it could also be an overheating issue.
Only thing that helped so far is capping the FPS to 60.
Any of you noticing a correlation between ethernet throughput spikes and the micro stutters in game? Just wondering if there's some troubleshooting I can do on that end. I never had this issue prior to DT and I'm connected to my internet via a wire directly.
I am glad to find out that the problem is widespread. I tried several troubleshooting methods, but nothing worked. Mind you, I have a very good rig.
