    Move Glare IV

Having Presence of Mind turn into Glare IV is awkward. I (and most of my friends) keep PoM somewhere on our hotbars that aren't accessed very often so it just becomes a hassle to have to move PoM or access a part of the hotbars that's only touched once every 2 minutes. There's no reason that Glare III shouldn't have the option to upgrade to IV once Sacred Sight is active.

Completely agree with this. Right now I either have to move Presence of Mind to a more convenient key to be able to comfortably press it multiple times while still trying to move etc (sacrificing an existing key as all my good one are already taken) or do what I'm currently doing... ignore Glare 4 and that's not good really. And if I do move keys around I'll be going up against a decade of muscle memory, which will bring new challenges.

Glare 3 should definitely just upgrade to Glare 4 while Sacred Sight is active. Pushing Prescence of Mind to trigger it still feels a bit weird, but it'd be much more convenient to have a single "Stone/Glare" key.

This is the problem with a lot of these combo actions / replaced buttons -- they were in places that were convenient for a single hit every two minutes but not for being hit multiple times during burst.

What I did as a workaround in the meantime is keep PoM -> Glare IV active for the visual, but created a macro which has Afflatus Misery activate, then if AM isn't available, it goes to Glare IV. It's not ideal, but since they're all instant casts and on parts of my hotbar that make sense, it's the best solution I have right now.

Thanks, that's a good workaround. I did think about macroing, but I didn't want to do a Glare 3 macro because cast time and just eugh... but instant ones like you said could work. In an idea world we'd be able to pick ANY action to "action change" to Glare 4 so everyone could pick what worked best for them.

Agreed and 99% of people would choose that Glare III turns into Glare IV lol.

I would pick Cure I tbh.

Knowing their knack of giving players high movement phases during 2m raidbuff windows, there might be a time we might want to shift what limited amount of instant Glare IVs within said window rather than burning all of them in one go.

If you don't want PoM to turn into Glare IV... then turn it off and bind it manually?

There is actually reason to not have Glare III into Glare IV. Maybe you want to hold a cast or two for movement and you cast Glare III in between without having to expend lillies.

It’s just that Glare IV is a GCD and thus you’re supposed to use it instead of Glare III.

So replacing Glare III makes the most sense.

No it doesn't. Yes, you are supposed to use all stacks of Glare IV before the effect fizzles because it is a damage gain, but there is absolutely reason to hold the stacks individually if it allows for better movement, similar to how Red Mage has Dualcast and can manage additional instantcasts with Acceleration. Or Pictomancer with spending white paint on Holy in White for similar purposes.

You can do Glare III -> Glare IV for movement -> 2x Glare III -> 2x Glare IV for more movement for example without having to cut Dia short or blow lillies if there are moments you might want to hold lillies a bit. And we have yet to see what raids and additional content will make us do.
