Why is everyone getting overhyped? I doubt Dalamud will land this patch. I really do. Yeah, we'll be getting our Skirmish, our Yukatas, and a few other new things, (like a "FFish battle" says Yoshi) But Dalamud falling? Nope...I wont raise any hopes until at least 2.0.

My guess is Dalamud falling and the reformation of the world will lead to nice openings for the new players of FFXIV. That's my guess...after all this Screen shot:


is linked with 2.0. If this Screen is shown with 2.0 SS's, why would Dalamud crash beforehand?

That's why my guess is it's part of 2.0's intro since we know we're getting a new one.

Since this year's event and costumes are tanabata themed, I'm really hoping they wrote a new track similar to the one from XI.

I know it won't drop this patch, never said it would, this is like the 3rd day before the night comes to Destroy Zelda/Links World in Majora's Mask. in patch 1.23a/b/c it will seem more likely to happen then. but as far as how close Dalamud is and the Geography Change ( part of the Radical changes to come this patch). This patch is already exciting enough without the moon crashing into Eorzea.

Probably going to be similar to WoW's cataclysm event. We hear rumblings and funny things start popping up precluding the eventuality. And then 1.0 servers close right before Dalamud drops and when 2.0 client launches, boom, new FMV that shows the actual end of days leading into a brand new world. You can even make a lore excuse with Alpha and Beta that we dream or saw echoes of other people helping to rebuild the world in your sleep XD (Since alpha and beta will likely having us play brand new and non-transferable characters).

I'm hoping it's more Abyssea style in concept honestly. The Presence of Dalamund has affects on the wild life, so why not let everything get steroid diets and the world just goes into utter chaos.

Then show it blowing up once 2.0 servers goes live.
