PS5 - Post Dawntrail - Overheating?

Is anyone on PS5 and having issues with their console? I've never had a heat issue with my PS5, and its in a room that's always kept at a cool temp, but I can only get about an hour of gametime in on dawntrail until it overheats and shuts down now. Its happening during cutscenes it seems. I ran around doing quests and it was fine, but when a series of cutscenes start, that's when it over heats and shuts off.

Me! I have this issue with over heating with my ps5 and also hard crashing every 10-20 mins. I have played zero msq done cause cities it's like 10 mins to crash and zoning btw areas cause a crash. I reported it to the bug in-game forum. Tried 120hrz turned off that didn't help few other things about console setting nothing worked. Hopefully a hot fix is soon so I can play more than few mins.

Hello, PS5 have an issue of dust clogging the PSU. Check your PSU, near the power cable if it's hotter than normal that might be it.
Just blow the dust away, and it should come back to normal.

I had this issue with Spider-Man Miles Morales and God of War Ragnarok and both times a clean up solved this issue.

After that I've also changed my PS5 to horizontal stand instead of vertical and never had this issue again...

I re-cleaned an already clean ps5. Moved its location it still crashed and it wasn't hot. I'm thinking the issue not ps5 but the patch. Some of my friends have no issues others like me crashing. I really wanted your advice to work.

I've had the same issue. Those graphics on the cutscenes will give a heat warning.

-Turning off the 1220 screen feature

about 30 mins left on the redownload. hopefully it fixes something, though i could just be wasting my time (x.x)

Same, I've just given up and am doing content pre-7.0 till something gets addressed. lowering resolution, deep dust cleaning, nothing helped. its not normal for the unit to get so hot so quick playing a game at this level.

Guys give a try to disable HDR on your console, and also change the resolution to 1080p instead default.
