Right--
I've had the PS5 version since the beta launch in (April?) 2021 and not once have I had ANY issues with running the game-- it ran super smooth, silky, impressive, and for a time, I even played more on my PS5 than my desktop version just because I could relax better. Been playing the game since beta of 1.0 and have played it on every PS console since PS3-- so far, the console version of the game that has run best (for me personally) is on the PS5.
Then DT came out this morning, I patiently sat through the gauntlet of logging in behind 2,158 players-- got into the game and then hard crash about 10 minutes later while in the middle of a cutscene. I mean, the console literally shuts off power and won't reboot until I forcibly remove the power cable, reattach it and boot back up. I mean-- what the bloody heck?
I tried to play again-- same thing, hard crash within 15 minutes-- over and over and over and over. I placed a large fan near it thinking it might be over-heating-- same issue, game still crashes. I deleted the software and re-installed FFXIV-- same issue. I edited the settings on my 80-inch TV, thinking perhaps the HDR or whatever was affecting the console. Same thing, no change-- crashing, crashing, crashing. I tried playing on several other games-- no problem AT ALL, the console didn't even stutter on other high graphic games like assassins creed, granblue relink or CoD.
Devs and Yoshi -- mate, this is proper unacceptable-- and thankfully, I bought DT on both my console and for the PC so in the meantime, I've (thankfully) been able to play on PC-- but freaking heck, you guys need to fix this. I normally don't come to the forums at all just because of the sheer amount of toxic nonsense that some idiots perpetuate on here without any adult supervision-- but this issue needs to be fixed ASAP. Seriously.
