Is this why we never got a second short race besides Lalafell? I think I read ages ago that Lalafell use a unique rig and, if so, probably doesn't scale so easily.Because they never changed the actual gear pieces, for both Viera and Hrothgar it's just the male Midlander gloves with some kind of racial scaling applied.
From those screenshots it seems that they scaled the elbow bone way too high, and it's affecting all long gloves that are rigged to it.
Elezen have a similar issue but for shoulder plates.
Yep, Lalafell and male Roegadyn (which is shared with male Hrothgar) are the only ones that need a separate model for any piece of gear. Their bodies are too different to achieve with bone scaling alone.
Another short race is not impossible, but it would be very similar to Lalafell so they don't have to make another unique model for hundreds of pieces of gear.

Oh my god. What if this means Hrothgals are using the Roe Male rig and that's what's causing issues...Yep, Lalafell and male Roegadyn (which is shared with male Hrothgar) are the only ones that need a separate model for any piece of gear. I forgot I had a alt that was lvl 30+ so I checked out some gear.... This Ninja one is kind of bad.
Thankfully not, it's specifically male roegadyn that have a unique model.
Female Roegadyn and Hrothgar just use the default female midlander body which is scaled by their skeleton rig.
All female characters besides Lalafell actually just use the female midlander body.
But because it's all the same model you get some "interesting" issues when the bone scaling goes too far beyond the default.
