I saw nothing about this in the patch notes, this time. It'd be a bummer if I log in tomorrow and nothing is fixed.

I think it is being done piece by piece, and probably not worth noting. I do think they intentionally made some pieces ridiculously big (why? No idea). I am just looking forward to what 2-3 old hairstyles they've added (fingers crossed for the dreadlocks).
"The worst foe lies within the self."
We got nothing about Hairstyles in the patch notes either, and still somehow got some, so who knows!
They don't even add us in the patch notes anymore, that's how much we matter to them, LOL!
7.3 WILL SAVE HROTHGAR!! TRUST THE PROCESS!!

Considering they added hairstyles without mentioning it, has anyone noticed any changes in their arm and body gear?
I know the Hrothgal vambraces remain to be broken with this huge ring on the upper arm, and the WAR HW class gear I reported ages ago remains to be massive as well.

I wish they had used female Viera body instead of female Roegadin.

That would have been very poorly fitting. Think about the huge difference it would make between male and female hrothgar.
Also, as far as I know, female hrothgar bodies are actually edited from elezen, not roegadyn. It probably has to do with the length of the legs or something.

well, compare female and male AuRa, they also look very different in proportions. That would have been very poorly fitting. Think about the huge difference it would make between male and female hrothgar.

Yes but we already have slender tiny catgirls, we don't need catgirls 2.0 with a different name slapped on them. I am very happy with their design, I'm just annoyed the gear doesn't fit. But these are two different topics.
Which is a problem that is unfortunately just not going to disappear.
All gear is designed for the female midlander body, as that is pretty much the "default" without any bone scaling applied. On top of that a lot of the gear has a relatively low polygon count for obvious reasons, it needs to run well with the assumption of a hundred players loaded at the same time.
What this means however is that things like sleeves and gloves are fit rather loosely to even the default body shape, so when applying the different racial scaling, especially more extreme bone scaling like female Roegadyn and female Hrothgar, it often ends up looking...goofy.
The overly beefy sleeves curse continues. Very sad to see. I waited years for our dear fem hrothy and she is left in this state. For shame.
